McCarthy Panel Works has been “putting you back in the driver’s seat” for more than 50 years. Opened in 1971 by Edward (Ted) and Lorraine McCarthy, the business is now owned by husband and wife team, Craig and Andrea McCarthy. Since taking the reigns, in 1988 Craig has sustained new and creative business ideas pushing to become incorporated in 2008 the company has continued to expand and progress to meet regional demands.
The motto of, ‘We never compromise on quality,’ has always been at the foundation of every aspect of McCarthy Panel Works. It is why we prefer to use genuine manufacturer parts and why we strive to achieve the best outcome for our clients. We pride ourselves on our integrity because there is no compromise when your safety is concerned.
In 2013, McCarthy Panel Works achieved I-CAR Australia Gold Class status. We were the first collision repair specialist in Queensland to obtain this rank. McCarthy Panel Works are members of Car Craft Australia who are a network of independent repairers dedicated to improving the collision repair industry’s standard. Car Craft members meet regularly to share ideas for developing repair and business practices and customer service practices.
Our pursuit of betterment doesn’t stop there. In 2017, Andrea joined the industry advisory board of I-CAR Australia, and in 2020, she became the chairperson of the NACA division of the Motor Trades Association of Queensland. By holding these positions, Andrea can voice Northern and Regional Queensland motorists’ concerns and share the unique challenges that set us apart from city motorists.
Through the involvement with these industry groups, McCarthy Panel Works continues to raise the collision repair industry’s standard and quality.
